2014 - THE PLAN

24.09.2010: SGS presents its 2014 strategic plan to the financial community. The event takes place in Rouen, where the company was founded. The plan has been designed in close cooperation and with the full support of the Board of Directors.

It defines the strategic lines SGS will pursue in order to strengthen its dominant position in the TIC industry, delivering strong organic growth and relying on acquisitions to expand certain areas of its service offering and geographical coverage. With this Plan, SGS aims to achieve Revenues of CHF 8 billion, Operating income* of CHF 1.6 billion (20% operating margin) and Earnings per Share of approximately CHF 140.- by 2014, while maintaining strong annual Operating cash flows of 15% to 17% of Revenues.

26.05.2011: SGS held two Investor Days in Toronto, consisting of divisional presentations and lab visits.

The event highlighted SGS’s strategy of moving up the value chain in all business lines, in keeping with the 2014 plan.
