Access Control

Site Access

Access Control can provide substantial benefits to worksites that are highly regulated or have a large amount of personnel or workers entering.

These benefits range from the ability to grant or deny access to a site by verifying qualifications and training requirements, to recording who is on site and for how long.

Once a personal record is produced employees and contractors are issued with a STAX SmartCard. The access card has photo identification and a chip encoded with its unique identifier.

This forms the basis for the SGS STAX Site Access Control. As workers swipe their SmartCard, access will be granted or denied based on whether the match is made between the particular location requirements and the employees qualifications.

The SGS safeSTAX system can be linked with existing structures, such as boom gates, turnstiles and stop/go lights. The SGS STAX database electronically links the training and personnel information contained on the SGS STAX Card with a Site Access Control System. The Access Terminals record and verify the information on each ID card, validate the information and track contractor and employee movements, onto and off of site and across different sites.  Specific access restrictions may be activated to control or even deny access to certain persons or specific areas.

The SGS safeSTAX System can give you assurance that everyone meets site requirements.  Managing safe access to worksites is a big job, and SGS safeSTAX provides the answer.
