Course Outline

The purpose of this course is to introduce the trainee to the legislation, accepted practices and safety procedures that are used on coal mining sites in order to create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Applications

The course provides a basis for the further training in site
specific, general and operational procedures, and tasks that must occur once the trainee takes up a position in an Open-Cut Coal Mine.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites required to attend this course.
However, the course is itself a prerequisite to working on any Queensland mine site.
