Course Outline:

The purpose of this one day course is to refresh the trainees’ current knowledge of the legislation, accepted practices and safety procedures that are used on coal mining sites in order to create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

Applications:

This one day course provides a basis for the further training in site specific, general and operational procedures, and tasks that must occur once the trainee takes up or continues their position in an Open-Cut Coal Mine.

Prerequisites:

Must hold a current Generic Induction. Refresher required every two years. Must hold a current Queensland Coal Board Medical and have successfully completed a drug and alcohol test prior to course commencement.
