Outline

This purpose of this program is to provide learners with the relevant skills and knowledge to be able to safely perform manual handling techniques within the workplace.


Our course is conducted over three hours and includes the following topics:

  • WHS legislation obligations
  • Assess risk and identify unacceptable risk
  • Muscular-skeletal system
  • Demonstrate correct lifting techniques
  • Awkward and poor working postures
  • Preventative measures

Application

This course provides a basis for safe manual handling techniques to be used within the workplace.

There are no pre-requisites for these competency units.
